Workers' Courses

For some years we have
had courses of study for Christian Workers, based around our
audio and printed resources and the weekly classes.
Certain subjects can
be done by Correspondence, with a personal tutor. Certificates
are awarded for each subject completed, and a Course Certificate
on completion of eight subjects.
The Certificates have
no academic accreditation but will indicate materials covered.
There is no Government assistance in doing such courses.
The real question is, 'Do
I just want to know the Scriptures, and will such a course
equip me to know the truth of God, and help me in my life?' The
answer is clearly, 'Yes'.
The course followed
is for its own sake and not for earning special qualifications.
It has its own delight, its thrill as the truth opens up, more
and more.
You might ask, 'Who
would want to do such a course when there is no special accreditation
and no Government aid?' The answer could be, 'There are many
who for years have sat at the feet of teachers, used what they
gained in the ministry of their lives to others, and who want
biblical truth for its own sake. They delight in the Word for
itself. Mystery upon mystery opens up.'
Many who have attended
our teaching ministry have said that it has transformed their
lives and they are alive with the knowledge of the grace of God,
His love, and the grand future He has placed before them.
We want to urge you
to think of doing studies for their own sake. At the least they
will make you biblically knowledgeable, and give you deep understanding
which will help you should you undertake further studies which
are in a college, seminary or university. At most they will open
up the world of the Kingdom of God, life in the church, and ministry
to the needy.
Many have testified
to this special value. Others have developed the ability to study
the Word and to find the beautiful truth and life which is in
it. Many simply like to receive from teachers in their churches
and our classes, with a view to sharing life with all. They find
a freedom in life through this.
By all means, then,
let us study all of the Scriptures. In the early church they
did this without even possessing Old Testaments and New Testaments,
but through hearing apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors
and teachers, and sharing the good news amongst themselves and
out in the society in which they lived.
